Chic Scarves of the Season!

Even though the holidays may be over, winter certainly isn’t. Fashionistas everywhere are staying warm and stylish with infinity scarves this season. This circular new spin on the regular scarf makes it extremely versatile. Most infinity-style scarves can be worn on the shoulders, as a hood and of course around the neck. These scarves create a chunky, yet chic look for those of us who have to brave the cold!

Get Wrapped in Warm Winter Robes!

Ask anyone who knows me and they’ll tell you how much I love to lounge and it’s not because I’m preggo! An ideal winter weekend consists of me in a comfy robe curled on the couch watching one of my guilty pleasure DVR’d TV shows. Few things are as comforting and relaxing on a cold afternoon than wrapping up in a plush robe. My obsession with robes makes it difficult for me to have a favorite, but they all get their fair usage!

From short & silky satins to floor-length cozy chenilles, there’s a robe that will suit your mood! Do you have a go-to robe for lazy lounging days?

P.S Now is the perfect time to catch after-Christmas deals on robes. 🙂

Happy Feet!

During the Christmas break I finally found the time to try the popular PedEgg. I had heard so many great things about this product, but have always been skeptical about those “As Seen On TV” products and wondered if they really worked.

Well, all of my skepticism ceased after treating my feet to this callus-curing contraption! After using the PedEgg on my dry, winter-ridden feet, I was able to scratch waddling to the nearest nail salon off of my to-do-list. The tiny stainless (and painless) steel files gently chips away old, dead skin leaving heels super smooth and soft!

PedEgg The Ultimate Foot File – As Seen on TV available at www.walgreens.com for $9.99

Have you ever tried the PedEgg? One lucky winner will win one to kick-start the New Year with callus-free feet! Just leave a comment and a winner will be selected randomly and announced later this week.

New Year, New You?

Well, it’s that time again when everyone makes their New Year’s resolutions. Just like most people, I rarely stick to, or even implement mine after the first few weeks. However, this year I plan on making several beauty and fashion resolutions and actually applying them.

Since I have more black in my closet than Marilyn Manson, I would like to incorporate more colors, patterns, etc. to spice up my otherwise dark wardrobe. In addition, I’d love to get out of my ho-hum hair rut and experiment with a new sexy style or cut. I’m not sure when I’ll actually execute these makeover aspirations, but I desperately want to add some variety to my look within the next twelve months. Wish me luck!

What are some of your resolutions this year? Is it to work out more, spend more time with family, etc? Or do you avoid making resolutions all together? Please share!

Be safe and thanks for all of your love, support and feedback! 🙂

The Princess & The Frog #1 at the Box Office!

For all of you with little girls (and boys) in your life, Disney’s first animated film starring an African-American princess, The Princess and the Frog hopped to the top spot at the box office this weekend grossing $25 million! Oh how I wish Baby BGG was born and already 4-years-old so we could’ve gone to see this ground-breaking movie together, but oh well, I’ll wait patiently for her arrival next month!

As many of you know, my favorite natural bath & body line, Carol’s Daughter, has teamed up with Disney to create a special The Princess & the Frog shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath and loofah in a super cute drawstring bag for your little princess!

Curl Power!

For all of you curly-haired BGs, if you haven’t tried Kinky Curly products, your tresses are missing out on a sensational treat! Now that I haven’t had my hair chemically relaxed in well over a year, I’ve been trying products that are better suited for natural hair. Kinky Curly was on top of my list of products to try because I’ve always heard such great things about them.

Their Midnight Miracle overnight treatment was like a magic concoction infused with castor bean extract, silk protein and meadowfoam oil seed that left my usually tangled, dry strands easy to comb and softer than ever before! Plus, it had a very pleasant scent that didn’t bother my sensitive nose (remember pregnant women’s senses become superhuman). 🙂

Midnight Miracle available at www.kinky-curly.com for $22

Have you ever used Kinky Curly products? For all you natural-haired BGs, what are some of your favorite products to use? Please share!

**The winner of the IMAN Luxury Liner is Product Junkie Diva!! Yay! Please email me your mailing address. 🙂
