Get the Boot!

When it comes to boots, I’ve always been a riding, mid-calf, or semi thigh-high kind-of-girl. Well, for some reason this season I’m all about booties!

The short ankle style has been catching my eye due to it’s tough-girl kind of vibe. To me, booties give an instant edge to various ensembles. Whether worn with cord or denim skinnies or with tights and a skirt, they’re extremely versatile and provide a cool, laid-back look.

While I’m not completely giving up my standard styles, booties are definitely a fun way to mix up my boot collection.

Project Pavement

Move over Project Runway wannabes and make way for a contest that will have you “pounding the pavement.” That’s right, Vince Camuto, the popular footwear brand is hosting a cool online contest for aspiring shoe designers. Vince Camuto has launched an app that will let contestants design their own shoes or simply submit a sketch. The person with the most votes will be narrowed down to a list of finalists from whom Vince will choose a winner. The lucky winner will have their shoe go into production and will win a trip to New York to meet with Vince.

Pretty Peep-Toe Pumps!

While I was organizing my closet the other day, I realized that I clearly have an adoration for peep-toe pumps! I noticed that the majority of my shoe collection consists of this fun, sexy style.

I confess, unlike many fashion-conscious women, I am not exactly a “shoe person” per se. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy occasional visits to shoe stores, but certainly not as much as some die-hard, shoe-shopping fashionistas! I’d much rather go on the hunt for a flirty frock or a perfect pair of jeans, but apparently when I do go shoe shopping, it’s usually for one particular style!

Cute Kicks

I’m back from Chicago and I missed you guys so much!! I’m completely exhausted, but BGG has returned with regular posts. Yesterday was the first day I didn’t post anything. I was too tired since my flight was delayed 2 hours. Anyway, back to business!

Being that I have never liked the look of sneakers, sometimes a girly girl like me has to break down and buy a pair in an effort to stay fit. I hadn’t owned a pair of sneakers since high school until a few weeks ago. I decided to purchase a pair so I could exercise properly since we all know that stiletto heels and chic ballet flats won’t get the job done.

So, as I embarked upon my quest for cute, non-clunky athletic shoes, I surprisingly noticed that there were quite a few that were actually wearable. Now I can finally try to stay fit and still look feminine at the same time!
