Just like the boyfriend blazer and the boyfriend jeans, sometimes we girls just want to borrow a few fashions from the fellas. Right now, it’s all about men’s style wristwatches.

    I love mens style watches in general. I had a silver one and got a great gold one by Michael Kors from Nordstrom in June and love it. They always have some nice ones during their semi-annual sale

    hahaa! i’ve had one since january or so and that’s exactly what i call it… a boyfriend watch. my sister got me into them as she loves all BIG AND HUGE accessories. at first it felt awkward like it was always flashy, but now it feels right for a plus sized chica like me. i have the time on my BB, my ipod and all around me, but i still have to check the wrist.

    While I absolutely love gold, I am a huge fan of the watches with a gold and silver mix in them. They are a bit more versatile to me.

Gold Rush

I haven’t always been a fan of gold jewelry, but for the past couple of summers, nothing makes me sparkle like gold! A delicate gold necklace can complement a summery sun-dress or add a feminine touch to a simple white tank. I especially like the popular, lady-like layered look because it exemplifies effortless chic.

For us BGs, this bold and precious metal just looks good against our naturally bronzed skin.

Do you prefer to wear gold jewelry more during the warmer months or am I the only crazy one!?

    I tend to wear gold all year round. I just switch up the pieces to change up my look.

    no ma’am you’re not crazy…gold definitely DOES sparkle more in the warmth. maybe its the sun beams bouncing off of it cuz gold seems to be everywhere when its hot (i.e. bronzer, sparkles in the tanning lotions or regular lotions) flecks or pieces of gold do look fab!! i’m not a HUGE fan of it, but i too will wear it when i feel moved…or when the outfit calls for it

    I’m not a HUGE gold fan either however when I do wear it I LOVE it… It definitely compliments a simple top/tank- it helps to add a touch of class.

    that lisa k greece necklace is beautiful! im partial to silver jewelry. growing up, my mother would try to convince me that gold was better b/c it costs more and it’s more regal. lately, i’ve come to incorporate it minimally b/c i dont want to wear silver jewelry when im wearing certain things, like brown…as for white gold, i’m with that!

    Nope, you’re not the only crazy one. I’ve noticed gold’s come back and while I prefer silver, I do like gold periodically. I love the one with the turquoise. How cute is that?! I’ll definitely be purchasing some gold real soon. Unfortunately, it won’t be from Tiffany’s. Then again if I ever get my stimulous check, I just might splurge!! ahahaha

    That Gorjana necklace is so pretty. It is so delicate looking… I love it. I am a huge fan of gold jewelery and this just made me realize that I need to add a few necklaces to the jewelery box.

    I don’t have a preference when it comes to jewelry, as long as it matches my outfit. 🙂

    I do, however, wear two gold rings that I never take off. A pinky ring on my right hand and a gold class ring on the ring finger, right next to it. (Sounds kind of tacky, but they’re both dainty and cute.)

    Even through the big silver phase (late 90s, early 2000, I think), I still rocked my gold rings.

    I’m glad gold is back though because I’m in love with oversized hoops!!!

    Are we sisters? I’ve never been a fan of gold either. Definitely a silver/cosmetic jewelry wearer. But I agree that it makes brown skin look gorgeous! Maybe I should get a 14K necklace just for the sake of the summer.

    i only wear gold and i wear it year round – i just prefer it with my skin tone over silver. i think some people think gold can be gawdy but if you keep it simple it dresses up the simplest outfit and looks elegant with a LBD.
